Q. How is this different from other bootcamp programs?

A. You’ll have a hard time finding another bootcamp anywhere that has an instructor with the qualifications and experience of Better Bootcamp’s Rob Williams. The integration of his proven posture techniques, flexibility exercises, functional movement strategies and constant education will exceed your expectations and contribute to the overall development of your inner athlete. The intake assessments, practitioner knowledge sessions, bonus workouts, preferred provider discounts and prizes are all components that add exceptional value to the Better Bootcamp program. And we haven’t even mentioned the controlled group sizes, support trainers and complimentary fitness equipment kits. Now that we look at it, maybe we’ve made this too cheap...?

Q. Do we still train in the rain?

A. Welcome to Vancouver! Yes, we will conduct all workouts in the great outdoors, rain or shine. Be prepared for whatever conditions may prevail by having a small backpack with your water bottle, rain jacket, exercise tubing and mat (provided by us) and rain hat if desired. You might even want sunglasses!

Q. Is there a lot of running in this program?

A. Don’t worry, this isn’t a running group. We will do some agility exercises, stairs and so on, to make sure you burn a load of calories and get in great shape, but we’ll stay in the same area for the duration of the sessions.

Q. How fit do I have to be to join Better Bootcamp?

A. Since our exercises can always be performed at a variety of intensities, anyone with a base level of fitness will do well in our sessions. If you feel that you are totally deconditioned, or have absolutely no experience exercising, it might be a good idea to join one of our expert private trainers for a month or so, and join a later bootcamp group.

Q. If I miss a workout, can I attend another group to make it up?

A. We generally don’t allow makeup sessions in other groups, primarily because we expect groups will be full and this would be unfair to the members in that group. With enough advance notice of a schedule conflict, we may be able to squeeze you into another group. If you just can’t make it to one of our group workouts, we encourage you to make up that workout on your own (or work twice as hard at the next session).

Q. I have bad knees (ankles, shoulders, low back, etc). Can I still join Better Bootcamp?

A. Although our education and experience allows us to train clients with a variety of conditions, there are a few conditions that might limit participation in this program. Anyone with acute or chronic spinal problems and/or severe arthritis of the knees, hips or other joints might find this program too challenging. It’s also important for every participant to have medical clearance for their participation in this program.

Q. Can you tell me more about your 100% satisfaction guarantee?

A. No problem. If, after your first workout with Better Bootcamp, you aren’t 100% satisfied or decide that this program isn’t meeting your expectations for any reason, we’ll refund your payment in full, within 30-days of the return of your new fitness equipment (now used fitness equipment).

Q. Can I bring a friend to Better Bootcamp?

A. If you are considering bringing a new recruit along to one of our workouts, it’s important to notify us first so we can complete the necessary screening paperwork, and make sure there is going to be room for your guest. This will ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for yourself, your guest and the rest of your group.

Q. What equipment is included in the package price?

A. Each Better Bootcamp registrant will receive a new fitness kit that includes a yoga mat and bag, as well as a 4Õ and a 6Õ covered resistance band. These products retail for $60 or more but are included with your registration fee. ItÕs important that you bring these kits to all workouts.

Q. Can I mix my workouts between different groups?

A. We don't allow mixing and matching between groups, but we're already having people sign up for more than one group in the same month!

Q. Will there be more than one instructor in the sessions?

A. Since exercise quality, technique and safety are important to us, there will be 2 or more instructors in most, if not all, sessions with 15 or more participants.

Q. Will you do fitness assessments before and after the camp starts so I can see my results?

A. Pre-camp health and fitness screenings will be performed before the start of each monthly bootcamp Session. These screenings will include everything from fitness assessments and body composition measurements to functional testing and digital posture imagery. Measurements will be taken at the end of the session so you can see how great you did. The details of the screenings will be emailed to you upon registration.

Q. You mention prizes and bonus workouts?

A. We want this to be a fun and rewarding experience for everyone. During the month you can expect to be notified of extra workout opportunities (maybe a Saturday morning family workout, a hike, etc). At the end of each month there will be a number of prizes offered to participants for achievements such as "Best Attitude" or "Most Improved" or even "Best Excuse for Trying to Get Out of an Exercise".
